Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information The Villa Edit collects through thevillaedit.ae, why we collect it and how we look after it. We are a furniture showroom based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Information we collect

Information you send us. When you use an enquiry form we receive what you enter, which may include:

• your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
• your message and any product reference
• bespoke details, such as the piece you have in mind, measurements and inspiration images
• project details, such as location, furniture list, quantities and target dates

We also record the page you sent the form from, so we know which piece or service you are asking about. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever you send us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server keeps technical logs for security and to keep the site running. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the date and time.

How we use your information

• to reply to your enquiry and share pricing and availability
• to prepare and carry out bespoke commissions, project work and orders
• to arrange production, delivery and installation where you order from us
• to keep the website secure, prevent misuse and fix faults
• to keep the records we need for legal, tax and accounting purposes

We do not sell your personal information. We will not send you marketing messages unless you have asked to receive them.

Cookies

This website uses two cookies, both needed for it to work: the-villa-edit-session keeps your visit working across pages, and XSRF-TOKEN protects our forms against misuse. Both expire after about two hours unless you stay active on the site.

We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies on this website.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where needed, with:

• companies that provide our website hosting, email and similar services
• suppliers, makers and delivery partners, where this is needed to fulfil your order
• authorities or professional advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights

Our WhatsApp and social media links take you to services run by other companies. They handle your information under their own privacy policies.

Where your information is stored

Our website and the services we use may store information on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and order information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
• correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• delete your information, or limit how we use it
• stop using your information for a particular purpose, including marketing

To make a request, use the contact details at the end of this page. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may need to keep some records where the law requires it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including an encrypted connection across this website. No website or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us so that we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
